Smiling Coast Taxis & Tours is owned and run by Modou and Mathew. We are building the service around the things visitors need on a first trip: a fixed price before they fly, a friendly pickup at the airport and drivers who know the roads, ferry times and good lunch stops.
Who answers when you message?
When you message us on WhatsApp, you are talking to the owners. We confirm airport pickups, agree routes and help you work out what fits into your stay. We want the start of your holiday to be simple: walk through arrivals, see your name and get to the hotel without a price argument.
How we work
We are local drivers, so we can make a plan around what you want rather than force you into one standard day. That might be a fixed airport transfer, a driver for the day or one of our trips to the river, forest, markets and beaches.
Driver portraits before launch
Real photographs, names and short biographies for Modou, Mathew and the wider driver team must be added before launch. We will not use made-up portraits. Until then, the image on this page is a licensed taxi-context photo, not a member of our team.
Our local tip
Tell us what sort of day you enjoy rather than only the place names. We can help balance a busy market, a quiet beach, a short walk and enough time for lunch.
